In this class, students will learn the basics of carving a basic kitchen spoon, one of the most comprehensive and practical carving exercises available. You will learn about wood selection, carving characteristics, preparing blanks, basic carving techniques, and a traditional oil finish which may be applied not only to carving spoons, but to most any kind of carving.
